NCP-ARI (NVIDIA-Certified Professional: AI Rack and Interconnect) validates hands-on skills for deploying high-density AI infrastructure: rack preparation, high-density copper and fiber cabling, liquid-cooling interconnects, DC busbar power, testing, and safety standards. It targets data center infrastructure technicians working on NVIDIA AI cluster deployments such as DGX SuperPOD and GB200 NVL72.

It is a professional-level exam aimed at technicians with 2+ years of data center experience. The largest domain is High-Density Cabling Installation (30%), where questions get very specific: OSFP vs QSFP form factors, finned-top vs flat-top transceivers, MPO/APC handling, bend radius, and NVIDIA routing strategies like the 50/50 left-right split. Generic data center knowledge is not enough; you need NVIDIA-specific deployment practices.

The exam has 70 questions and lasts 120 minutes, delivered online through the Certiverse platform. NVIDIA does not publish the passing score, so we recommend consistently scoring 75%+ on practice exams before scheduling.

The exam costs $400 USD per attempt, which makes preparation important. Failing means paying the full fee again, so most candidates work through practice exams until they score comfortably above the estimated passing threshold before booking.

NVIDIA recommends 2+ years of enterprise data center operations experience, knowledge of fiber optics and transceiver form factors, and comfort with physical cable installation. Experience with high-density AI racks (DGX systems, GB200 NVL72) and liquid cooling is a strong advantage since several domains assume familiarity with them.
