Every Claude certification is registered and paid for on the Anthropic Partner Academy, then booked on Pearson VUE through a link Anthropic emails you. Eligibility is the step that stops most people: the exams are open only to people who work at Claude Partner Network organizations, and you sign in with a company email on a domain listed in your organization's partner record. This guide follows the rules Anthropic and Pearson VUE publish as of October 2026: who can register, how booking works, what each exam costs after partner discounts, and what happens when you reschedule, fail or need to renew.

Who can register for a Claude certification exam
Claude certification exams are open to people who work at organizations in the Claude Partner Network. Registration checks your email domain against your organization's partner record, so a personal address fails at sign-in or checkout. When a company email is rejected, the usual cause is a domain missing from the partner record. Email [email protected] to have it added, and send the request early, because the change takes 7 to 10 days. Subsidiary and regional domains need the same treatment, or the certification will not credit to your organization's partner account.
You also need to be 18 or older and hold a valid government-issued ID, which is checked at the start of the session whether you test online or at a test center.
If your organization is not a partner, you cannot register yet, and two routes stay open. The public Anthropic Academy teaches Claude, Claude Code and the Claude API, and its courses end with a quiz and a certificate of completion, which is a different credential from a proctored certification (the free courses guide maps them). Companies that deliver Claude work for clients can apply to the network at claude.com/partners, and Anthropic account teams can record certification interest from other organizations.
Three of the four exams, CCDV-F, CCA-F and CCAR-P, count toward an organization's tier in the Claude Partner Network. CCAO-F does not count toward tier standing.

How to register and book, step by step
- Sign in to the Anthropic Partner Academy with your company email. The certifications page lists all four exams with their exam guides, prep courses and registration links.
- Open your exam's certification page and read the exam guide. It lists the domains and task statements the exam covers, and Anthropic calls it the authoritative source for exam scope.
- Register and pay by credit card. A partner discount is applied automatically at checkout. If you still see full price on a discounted tier, your email domain is probably not linked to the partner record.
- Watch for two emails. Anthropic sends your Pearson VUE scheduling link, and if this is your first Pearson exam, Pearson sends a username and password. Check your spam folder if nothing arrives.
- Log in to Pearson VUE and pick a slot, either online with a live proctor (OnVUE) or at a Pearson test center. Run Pearson's system test before you choose OnVUE: it needs Windows 10 or macOS 14 or newer, a working webcam and microphone, a private room and a stable connection. A managed corporate laptop or network can block the session, so share Pearson's list of required domains with your IT team, or book a test center instead.
- Check that your Pearson profile name matches your ID exactly. Send corrections to [email protected] at least 24 hours before the exam, with the subject line "Name Correction Request" and your first and last name in Latin characters. A mismatch at check-in means you cannot test, and the fee is forfeited.
- On exam day, plan for about 135 minutes. The exam itself runs 120 minutes, and check-in, instructions and a short survey take the rest. It is closed book, browser translation tools are not allowed, and your score appears on screen at the end. A pass triggers an email from Credly to claim your badge.
What a Claude exam costs
Claude certification exam fees and partner discounts (October 2026)
| Exam | Standard fee | Select, Preferred and Global Premier partners | Global Premier, through Dec 31, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| CCAO-F | $99 | $49.50 | $0 |
| CCDV-F | $125 | $62.50 | $0 |
| CCA-F (CCAR-F on Pearson VUE) | $125 | $62.50 | $0 |
| CCAR-P | $175 | $87.50 | $0 |
Registered-tier partners pay the standard fee. Global Premier partners get a 100% discount on every exam through December 31, 2026, and the standard 50% after that. Fees are in US dollars and paid by credit card on the Partner Academy. CCA-F rose from $99 to $125 on June 30, 2026, the day delivery moved to Pearson VUE.
There is no bulk purchase yet, and Anthropic says a voucher storefront for partners is in progress. Once you register, Anthropic's FAQ gives you up to five years to sit the exam.
Pearson VUE lists Claude Certified Architect - Foundations under the code CCAR-F. It is the same exam this site and most study material call CCA-F.
Rescheduling, cancelling and no-shows
You can reschedule or cancel for free up to 48 hours before your appointment, through your Pearson account. Inside 48 hours, or if you do not show up, the fee is forfeited and you need a new registration to sit the exam. Cancelling an appointment in Pearson only frees the time slot and keeps your registration open, so if you paid and no longer plan to sit the exam, email [email protected] to request a refund. After you reschedule, wait for the confirmation email, and if none arrives, check that the new date shows in your Pearson profile.
Master These Concepts with Practice
Our CCA-F practice bundle includes:

- Detailed explanations for every answer
- Domain-by-domain performance tracking
30-day money-back guarantee
Retakes
If you do not pass, the wait before you can sit the same exam again grows with each attempt: 14 days after the first failed attempt, 30 days after the second and 90 days after the third. You can take the same exam at most four times in any rolling 12 months, and both limits reset when the exam moves to a new version. The limits apply per exam, so failing one track does not stop you from registering for another. Each retake costs the full fee, with your partner discount applied the same way as on a first attempt, and you register again on the Partner Academy before Pearson shows the dates you can book. A pass is final, and you cannot retake a passed exam to raise your score.
Your score report shows your scaled score and the percentage of items you answered correctly in each section, which tells you what to study before you rebook.
Validity and renewal
A Claude certification is valid for 12 months from the date you earn it. Before it expires, you renew for free by passing an open-book online assessment on the Partner Academy, which extends the certification by 12 months from the current expiry date, and you can retake that assessment as often as you need. If the certification lapses, regaining it means passing the full exam again at the full fee. Certifications earned before June 30, 2026, under the old six-month validity, were extended to 12 months automatically.
Language, accommodations and country rules
The exam and its prep content are available in English and Japanese, and Anthropic published Japanese versions of all four exam guides in October 2026. Testing accommodations go through Pearson's accommodations process, and Anthropic asks you to request them at least 10 days before you plan to test.
Candidates with a government ID from Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Syria or restricted regions of Ukraine cannot use OnVUE online proctoring and need to book a Pearson test center. Pearson suspended exam delivery for residents of Iran, online and at test centers, from September 8, 2026.
Practice before you book
Anthropic retired its official practice exam when delivery moved to Pearson, so the sample questions in each exam guide are the only official practice material left. A no-show or a late change forfeits the fee and a fail adds at least 14 days, so book once you hold a passing score on full-length timed practice. The practice tests on preporato.com give you six timed exams per certification, domain-proportional, with every answer explained, for $19.99 one-time: CCAO-F, CCDV-F, CCA-F and CCAR-P. If you are still choosing an exam, the Claude certifications comparison matches each one to a role.
